Our little Zander Reed is starting to get mischievous.

He loves bath time, but lately he likes to gather up all his toys and throw them out of the bath. He'll even double check to see if his toys are still there. I like to tease him and throw them all back in or hide them when he isn't looking.

I wonder where he gets this from? I like things tidy and clean, so it's definitely not from me.

Utah Part 2 - Lauren & Jason's Wedding

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Osmond!

Lauren and Jason's wedding day was beautiful despite the sprinkles of rain. The spirit was so strong in the temple and you could see the excitement and love radiate from Jason and Lauren.

We had the family luncheon in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The food was amazing and the speeches were hilarious. Devin and I were caught off guard so all we could come up with was the advice, The Family That Prays Together, Stays Together. Seemed good at the time. I am sure with a little notice we could have thought of some funny stories of Lauren to share considering she did live with us for awhile right after we got married. The most memorable speech was Jason's, who ended with telling Lauren "I can't wait to make hundreds of babies with you". So funny!

The reception was in the Provo Library Ball Room. It looked spectacular and no detail was left undone! The whole place was decorated shabby chic with a vintage flair. It was very Lauren. There was a live band playing jazz music all night. Soda pop bottles and pie shakes were a hit. We even had a drum solo by Jason's dad, Jay. I heard from a lot of people that it was the funnest reception they had ever been to.

The whole day was magical and we were glad to have been able to share it with them.

Utah - Part 1

We went to Utah for Devin's sisters wedding. It was the first long car ride for Zander and he did really well. Kaylee drove with us to keep him company in the back. She taught him a new facial expression. He now scrunches up his nose and puckers his lips while breathing heavily out of his nose. It is so cute! Kaylee also gave Zander his first taste of ice cream and he loved it.
When we first got to Provo, we visited Ashlee at her beauty school. Devin got his unibrow waxed and Zander got his 2nd haircut. I do miss his long hair, but it needed to get cleaned up around the ears and his rat tail had to go. Devin thinks it looks like a helmet, but we can still spike it up a little with some gel.

Puppy Love

While in Utah, we stayed with Devin's cousin and his wife, Jarron and Olivia.  They have the cutest dog Millie and we couldn't keep Zander away from her. It was so cute to watch them play together. Millie would lick Zander and he didn't mind at all. When Millie was locked in her little area, Zander would crawl over and they would play with each other through the bars.

A Flirt

We have a flirt on our hands. Zander had eyes for Kaylee's friend Jenny and he got his flirt on! This is the end of it, but he couldn't stop laughing to get Jenny's attention. Do we have a ladies man in the making?

Body Worlds

Last weekend, we went with Mom, Dad, and Kaylee to The Arizona Science Center to see the exhibit Body Worlds. It is preserved human bodies and body parts that are prepared using a technique called plastination to reveal inner anatomical structures. It's hard to believe that what we saw is actually inside of us. Human life and the body truly is a miraculous thing! I am sad that we couldn't take any pictures.

New Car

I am an SUV Mom now.

Devin and I bought a 2007 Saturn Outlook for our family. We have been looking for a family car for awhile and spotted this car online. It was a great deal and fully loaded. We couldn't pass it up. Leather seats, 2 moon roofs, XM radio, auto start, 3rd row seating, and lots more! We all love the car. It's funny, while I was fast asleep one night, Devin was outside sitting in the car learning about all its features. We fight over who gets to drive it and that is crazy since we both hate driving. Zander is happy that he doesn't get woken up when I try and get his car seat into the car. I am excited that I can fit more than just the stroller in the trunk. We are all thankful for this car to keep us safe and comfortable as our family continues to grow.

Bath Time

Zander loves the bath. As soon as we get into the bathroom, he gets so excited. It's even hard to keep him still while I undress him. Since he likes to stand now, he tries this in the bath too which is a little scary. He reaches up for his toys if I don't pull them all out. He stands up on the side of the tub and reaches over to the faucet. It's definitely an accident waiting to happen so I watch him very closely and hold his hand when he stands up.
