He is totally stingy with kisses. If he can't be bothered,
he'll turn and give you his cheek to kiss. * Figured out Devin's name and
sometimes calls him that. I love hearing him say "No Devin" * He no
longer plays with his belly button, but instead will sit and play with the skin
on his upper lip. * While he is totally outgoing, he gets shy when he first
meets people. * His favorite food right now is "faffles" aka waffles.
He asks to eat them all day. * Has a very focused one track mind. If he is
asking for milk, don't ask him about anything else because he's only concerned
with getting his milk. * Had a mini vacation with Grandma Judi while we were in
the Cayman Islands. He was spoiled with new puzzles, Chick-fil-a lunches, bike
rides, and trips to the park. I came home to him not liking to brush his teeth
or take his vitamin. * He loves to wear his bright blue rain boots around the house. I chuckle every time I hear him say boots. It comes out like "boo-oots." * He is getting so much better with his speech. While we still don't get (or sometimes understand) full sentences, he definitely attempts them. He is such a little chatter box. *

It's been 5 months since Grandpa Reed passed away. Sometimes it feels like he'll still come through the front door and join us for family dinner on Sunday. I love reminiscing about all the funny things he'd say and do.
Today is his birthday and we couldn't let it pass by without celebrating. We ate at his favorite restaurant, Golden Coral, and ended the night at the Hospice Center where we spent the last week of his life together. We lit two lanterns, one for Grandpa and one for Grandma Reed, and sent them into the sky. I hope we can continue to keep their presence alive so Zander knows about his great grandparents.

Grand Cayman - Day 5
There wasn't a lot of time to do anything on our last day. We grabbed breakfast for the last time, packed up our bags, and took once last look at the beach before heading to the airport. The past week with my hubby was truly amazing. Lately, I've been stressed with work and trying to get pregnant again. It was nice to take a step back from everything to relax and spend time together.

Grand Cayman - Day 4
The 4th day on our trip was our final whole day on the island. We didn't have an agenda at all. The plan was to soak up the day at the beach. I spent a majority of the day laying out and playing in the water. Devin went snorkeling with a few coworkers. After being gone for a few hours, he persuaded me to join him. I'm so glad he did. The new spot was so much better than the snorkeling we did earlier in the week. The fish literally came right up to you and there were lots of reefs to explore.
Since it was Valentine's Day, we planned a special dinner at a restaurant on the beach at sunset. We were able to walk down the shore from our hotel and enjoy a romantic evening together.

Grand Cayman - Day 3
On our 3rd day, we headed back to Georgetown to go on a Submarine tour. Devin was super excited to do this. I could have passed. I have been in a submarine before even though Devin says the ride at Disneyland doesn't count. We went over 109 feet below the ocean and viewed fish and coral reefs. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn't see the vibrant colors of the sea. At those depths, color isn't visible. Even inside the submarine, my bright blue toe nail polish looked gray and reds resembled more of a dark purple.
In the evening, we attended the Infusion Soft President Club banquet. It was such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. No shoes, no stuffy suits, lots of virgin drinks. It was right on the beach as the sun went down. The company hired a photographer to capture all the moments of the evening, included some couple shots by the water. We dined on lobster, steak, salmon, and chicken. There was even some dancing, which was hilarious considering the crowd was not full of drinkers. I'm so thankful that Devin found this job. He absolutely loves it there. The best part is that they really appreciate all of his hard work.

Grand Cayman - Day 2
Before the trip, Devin and I researched all the "to dos" of Grand Cayman. We had a list of things we wanted to do, but didn't planned anything out because we didn't want live the week on a strict schedule. On our second day on the island, we headed to Georgetown by bus. Georgetown is a very tourist driven town. Every day 5 - 6 cruise ships visit the port which makes for a hectic morning and quiet afternoon when they all leave.
We were able to find a tour to Sting Ray City which was at the top of our site seeing list. We headed out on a 45 minute ride sitting atop the boat. I knew we were getting close as there was a large group of boats surrounding one area. It was a huge sandbar that was shallow enough to stand up in the middle of the ocean. The crew brought out some food and the stingrays started surrounding us. They would swim between our legs. At first it was a bit scary. After all the Crocodile Hunter was killed by a Sting Ray. We all took turns feeding, holding, and touching the animals. They were softer than I imagined. It was definitely one of my favorite moments of the trip.
On our way back to shore, we stopped and snorkeled. Devin was more adventurous than I was, diving deep into the water to get close up to the reef and fish. With our underwater camera casing, we were able to capture all of these moments. I think we have 100+ pictures of fish from our trip.
We spent the rest of the day at the hotel. We played in the water and grabbed some dinner before getting some much needed rest after a long day.
