Reed Family Reunion - Day 3

This man made bracelets on the street while you wait. Each of the boys got bracelets, but lost them soon after.

We walked around town with Scott since he can speak Spanish.

Celebrating Grayson's 1st birthday

Day 3 on the trip was in Ensenada, Mexico. While it would have been nice to be with the large group, it was really hard to coordinate activities off the boat with everyone. We spent the majority of our time with the immediate family, but happened to see everyone around Catalina and Ensenada throughout the day.

Before boarding the boat, Devin coordinated a surfing excursion with some locals. Devin, Kaylee, and Jason surfed while the rest of us relaxed on the beach. Zander enjoyed playing in the sand and feeding the birds our snacks with his cousins. After surfing, our guides took us to a local taco joint for some authentic Mexican food. It was delicious! We ended our day with some wheeling and dealing in the local market. We found Zander a Despicable Me cape and custom name bracelet. We bought baby Merrill some leather sandals to go with the dress we bought in Cabo San Lucas on our last family cruise. Hopefully this baby is a girl.

Reed Family Reunion - Day 2

Avalon, Catalina Island

We had to take tender boats from the cruise ship to shore.

On day 2 of the cruise, we explored Avalon on Catalina Island. With little kids in the group, it was too hard to do activities like zip lining and water sports so we decided to rent golf carts to tour the city. We were able to catch the best views of the city and harbor this way. Not to mention the crazy driving and normal funny antics from everyone. Back on the boat, we had a mini golf and table tennis match against our roomies before getting ready for formal night.

Reed Family Reunion - Day 1

Long Beach

Zander went crazy for the endless supply of chocolate milk on the boat.

 On the first day of the reunion, we boarded the Carnival Inspiration and settled in for the 3 day cruise. Devin, Zander, and I bunked in with Scott and Ashlee who were the perfect roommates. We toured the boat and became familiar with the amenities, daily schedule, and places to eat. With such a big group, we had 4 large tables in the dining room. Each night we tried to rotate tables so we could talk with everyone. The entertainment for the night was Family Face Off which was like Family Feud. Devin, Dee, Jason, and Tony participated in the game as Team Ish.

Reed Family Reunion

We've been looking forward to the Reed Family Reunion for the past year and we are finally on our way. The whole Reed clan is meeting in California for a 3 day cruise to Catalina and Ensenada Mexico and then 2 fun filled days at Disneyland.
