On our first day of travel, we made it to Abilene, Texas. Texas is a massive state. I thought it would never end! With the two hour time change, we made it to the hotel really late but woke up early and headed back on the road. We stopped in Dallas at Dealey Plaza - the place where JFK was shot.
We finally made it to Texarkana in the afternoon. Zander did such a great job on our long drive. He didn't complain about being stuck in his car seat at all. We spent some time at the pool and then headed out to dinner with everyone.
