Rice Cereal

I love watching Zander discover and experience new things. Tonight, we gave him rice cereal for the first time and he loved it! He cried when he finished the food in his mouth and I didn't give him another spoonful fast enough. I think this boy will be getting chunky very soon.

It's 10pm on a Saturday night and we are at home and tired. I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.

Move over Mango Monkey Pacifier....

....there is a new favorite toy in town. My friend at work Patrina gave me this octopus bottle holder. We've used it as a bottle holder, but Zander likes it much better as a cuddly stuffed animal.

Handsome Just Like His Daddy

Devin's sister Megan made Zander a bunch of onesies. They are all super cute and I am glad he finally fits into them. This one is my favorite.
He is trying to recreate his daddy's pose.

Tage Morgan Spilsbury

Congrats to Megan and Eddie! Megan had baby #2 - Tage Morgan Spilsbury - yesterday morning. While the epidural wore off just before he arrived, the pain was worth it. Good thing he was tiny and only 6 lbs 5 oz! Tage is a sweet baby with lots of hair and super soft skin.

I'm excited that Zander has a cousin close in age that is just down the street from us. I can just envision Jayden, Zander, and Tage getting into mischief together.

Johnny Jump Up

We took the Johnny Jump Up out of the closet and Zander loves it. I was afraid that he would be too little and not be able to keep his head up enough, but he fits perfectly inside this. The only problem is that we have lots of open arches and few doorways in our house. He'll have to hang out in the hallway by the bedrooms or in the laundry room by the kitchen. He loves to sit in here and have us swing him around.

Go Broncos!

Last night, Zander and I went to Mason's football game. Zander sported his orange and blue to cheer on the Poston Butte Broncos, but sadly they lost to the Queen Creek Bulldogs.
Can you see Mason? He is #66 on the sidelines.

Kylie & Stevan. They are determined to have Zander play sports when he gets older.

Ready for Church

I'm a sucker for a little boy in a suit. Isn't he so cute!?!

The Lake

We have been lucky enough to spend the last two Saturdays at the lake. Last Saturday, we went with the Merrill clan to Canyon Lake. Devin had his first scout campout so he missed out. Zander chilled in the shade and hated it when I put his feet in the cold water. Can't wait until he can go on Papa's boat (aka the jet ski) with us. The day was full of fun - Eddie hitting a bird with his car on the way up, Megan being chased around by bees, relaxing in the tubes in the water, and just spending quality time with the fam.
Yesterday we went with the Merinos and Kietas to Saguaro Lake. We went late in the afternoon so it wasn't too hot or busy. We found a quiet spot and went swimming, then everyone went wakeboarding. This is the second time I've been and didn't get up this time. Devin did great as always and got up immediately. Zander was so good on the boat and even took a nap.
