I love our new IPad 2! Totally unnecessary, but fun to have and play with. Look at how many posts I have already done using the easy blogger app. We can watch Netflix movies on it. We can also play Pandora and send the audio to the speakers in our room. I just found the photo booth app and the whole family thinks it's hilarious. If only we really looked like this.

R&R at the Pool

 Zander and I spent the morning at the pool with Ashlen, Tristen, and Clayton. This is the first time we've ventured to the pool this year. The weather was hot today so it was nice to cool off in the water and relax under the sun. Zander used his new floaty and swam his cousins. He also enjoyed lounging in the chairs and eating snacks. With summer approaching, we'll definitely have to make this part of our weekend routine.

Baby Steps

Walking is just on the horizon for Zander. He walks around with the help of the furniture and his walker. His balance is getting better every day. The other night, he actually let go of the ottoman and attempted to come to me. He even tries to stand up on his own. Devin and I started cheering and clapping for him every time he does this and now he thinks we should cheer for him all the time regardless if he is standing or not. He'll be cheering for himself  for sitting down and getting up on his knees and he looks at us strangely if we don't cheer with him. Walking should be in the near future and then we are in some real fun. 

10 Months Old

Weighs approx 18 lbs * Gives high-fives and folds his arms * Had his first trip out of state to Utah * Tries to help me do chores likes laundry and loading the dishwasher * Had his 2nd hair cut * Is getting better with holding his balance and is using the walker to get around * Is stuck on "dada" but I am working on "mama" * Goes crazy for cookies thanks to his Aunty Kylie & her baking skills * Loves to eat bananas, strawberries, and carrots * Multitasks when he crawls as he can transport toys inside his mouth at the same time * Eats everything and anything on the floor * Is accident prone and its typical to find a bruise somewhere on his head * Likes to get his teeth brushed so he can eat the toothpaste * Wants a sip of anything we have in a cup * Gets jealous when his daddy is holding or playing with other babies *

Alice's Birthday

We went to Alice's 1st birthday party today. She is one of Zander's BFFs. The Kieta's had a swim party, BBQ, and then we played at the park. Since it was 100 degrees today, we were happy to get in the pool. We bought Zander a new floaty and tried out swim diapers for the first time. He was a trooper, even though the water was a bit cold. He loved eating the birthday cake and watching Alice open her presents. He grabbed the tissue off the ground and started to eat it. Silly boy! I guess it is just practice for his big day coming up in two months.

I love my job! They know the value of appreciating and rewarding their employees. This is one of the many reasons that I was drawn to the company I work for.  In February, we had bowling team building activity for the whole company. We were assigned to teams that had a mix of people from different departments and each team came prepared with a team name and attire. We were Bowling for Bieber which is a little inside joke in the office. We couldn't represent without a picture of Justin by our lane. He was our 7th team member and we gave props to him every time we made a strike.
