Pregnancy Diaries - 20 weeks

We are at the half way point. 20 weeks down. 20 more to go!

  • I've gained 10 lbs. and love to show off the belly.
  • I feel baby girl move, but it's sporadic.
  • We haven't decided on a name. Zoe is still on the top of Devin's list.
  • No weird pregnancy cravings except for watermelon and popsicles which is the same thing I craved with Zander. One thing is for sure - when I see a food that looks good whether it's on tv or driving by a restaurant, I have to have it right away.

Looks like trouble. I imagine this is what it will be like in 10 years when they are old enough to drive and cruise around in a real car.

7 Years Strong

Happy 7 years to my love, my best friend, my partner in crime, my eternal mate. Couldn't imagine this journey with anyone else.

Pregnancy Diaries - 19 Weeks and the Gender Reveal

Baby's heartbeat
While I loved the family reunion, I was bummed that it interfered with my anatomy and gender reveal ultrasound. I had to wait an extra week to found out if we were having a boy or girl. I scheduled the first available appointment after our cruise and it was first thing in the morning. The majority of people thought we were having a girl. I thought we were having a girl too, but I didn't know if that was my intuition or my preference. I went into the appointment thinking and being fully prepared for them to say boy. After all, there are 5 Merrill grandsons and no girls.
The ultrasound tech looked and measured the baby thoroughly. We heard the heartbeat, checked all the vital organs, and did all the necessary measurements. I am measuring a week ahead of schedule so we could have a 4th of July baby after all. Then the big moment came and we found out that we are having a girl. We cried when we heard the news, although I would have cried either way. It was great to finally know that there is a little girl in there. I had visions of pink, tea parties, dollies, pedicures, and dresses in my head. When it came time to take profile pictures, baby girl was facing towards my back and wasn't budging. We got a little glimpse of her little profile and I fell in love immediately. We are going to have a daughter.

Reed Family Reunion - Day 6

Enjoying Dole Pineapple Whip Ice Cream
Our last day at Disney was spent at the Magic Kingdom. After be on the go for five straight days, we were all a bit exhausted at this point but still had a great time. The family reunion was so much fun and we are looking forward to our next reunion in two years.

Reed Family Reunion - Day 5

After departing the boat, we headed to Disney! We spent the whole day in California Adventure. Having a newly potty trained toddler and pregnant lady made for many trips to the restroom. Zander loved Cars Land and Bugs Life.

Reed Family Reunion - Day 4

I don't know where he gets these poses from.
Hot tubing
Ashlee and Kandi judged the Hairy Chest Contest
Conga line fun
Reed kids - Liddia, Ken, and Dee
Reed 1st Cousins
Reed 2nd Cousins
The last day on the cruise was at sea. The day was full of activities including mini golf, hot tubing, hairy chest costume judging, and conga line dancing. The cruise was fun, but we were all ready to get off the boat and get to Disney.
