1 Month Old

Zander is 1 month old today!

Here are some 1 month stats:

• Weight - ? Probably around 5 pounds
• Loves to take baths now
• Still hates getting his diaper changed
• Eats 2 oz every 3 hours
• Sleeps alot!
• Loves to cuddle & pucker his lips
• Has hiccups all the time
• Smiles in his sleep

It's crazy to think that today was his official due date. I sometimes wonder how big he would have been if he had that last month inside my belly. I wonder how big I would have gotten if he would have stayed inside my belly too. I'm glad he decided to join us early and was healthy. This last month has been wonderful with him in our family! I can't imagine our life without him now.

The Many Faces of Zander

This little boy cracks me up with all his facial expressions. 

Zander and I had lunch with Jen in Tempe today. I used to work with Jen at the Republic and was sad to see her leave for her new job. She definitely made work more entertaining! Jen was one of the first people I told that I was pregnant and she deemed herself Zander's "Jewish Aunt". Thanks Jen! We had fun at lunch and visiting you at work.

This is how I found Zander this morning. Either his clothes are still a little big or he likes the off shoulder look.

Happy Father's Day

For our first Father's Day, Zander and I planned a surprise afternoon for Devin last week. We took him to Paradise Bakery for lunch. We then went shopping and he picked out some jeans and a new shirt. The big surprise was that he had an appointment to get his teeth ZOOM whitened. Devin's been wanting this for a long time and he was definitely surprised!

After his teeth whitening appointment, Devin said his teeth were so sensitive and it was painful. I guess beauty is pain!

Happy Father's Day Babe! You are such a good dad to our baby. I love seeing you with Zander. Here is to many more years of parenting together. I can't wait!

Happy Father's Day to our 3 Dads and Grandpas too! You have all been great examples in our lives and we love you all very much.

I Want To Be A Super Model

Zander had a photo shoot last week with my friend Charlotte. He was wide awake for the pictures and he ended up peeing all over two times. I guess that's what I get for not putting a diaper on him! The pictures turned out so cute and there were a few funny ones too.

An Evening with Cake

Devin loves Cake (both kinds actually!). His mom called us up last night to tell us they were performing at the Marquis Theatre in Tempe. She offered to pay for half the tickets as a Father's Day gift and to watch Zander for us. We couldn't pass up this opportunity as they are one of Devin's favorite bands.

It was our first night out away from Zander and it was a little hard for me. There was a baby blues moment every now and then. Thank goodness for my new high tech phone. I looked through all his pictures on it a few times, but it was fun to get away and spend some time with Devin alone. I know he had a blast and loved every minute!

I remember when we first started dating and Devin would play Cake. They are a little weird. They have songs like "Sheep Go To Heaven, Goats Go To Hell", "Satan is My Motor", "Friend is a Four Letter Word", and "When You Sleep Where Do Your Fingers Go?". They must be smoking something when they write these songs! Anyways...eventually I was won over by their music. We even played "Love You Madly" at our wedding reception while we cut the cake.
