Zander had 2 doctors appointments today. He had a weigh in at Gilbert Pediatrics and we found out he gained 3 ounces since his appointment last Friday. Only 2 more ounces and this fatty is 4 lbs! Zander also had to get the newborn screening blood test. Devin said he didn't really cry when they pricked his foot. It was kind of an after thought and he was back to sleeping in no time.
Since we were in Mesa, we decided to take him by Nan and Popsie's house since he hadn't met Popsie yet. We surprised poor Nan who had just washed her hair since she was leaving to get her hair done. It was nice to sit and talk with Popsie for a while though. I think he was a little afraid to hold him since he is so small, but he was a proud great grandfather. Zander is the first Merrill grandson to carry on the family name.
Here is Devin, Zander, and Popsie. 3 generations of Merrills! We will have to get a photo with Devin's dad in it too so we can have a 4 generation photo.
