On our first day in Florida, we loaded up the car and headed to Cocoa Beach with the Fields for the a few days of relaxation, tanning, and surfing. We stayed at an amazing condo right next to the pier thanks to Devin's coworker who allowed us to stay at her family vacation house. While the kids and moms were taking naps, Devin and David rented surf boards and headed out to the water. They soon learned that they aren't as young or fit as they were 10 years ago. Mary and I joined them later with the kids and enjoyed the last few hours of sunshine before it rained for the remainder of the day. While Hurricane Isaac bypassed Florida completely, we still received wind, rain, and huge waves on Sunday and Monday. We made the best of the situation and still found fun ways to enjoy our vacation and hang out with good friends.
