High Five Friday

1. Nothing like hearing there is a hurricane heading towards your vacation destination to give you a little scare! Yep - Hurricane Isaac is heading towards Florida right now and is expected to hit on Monday. Not sure how this will spoil our plans to relax at the beach, go deep sea fishing, visit the Happiest Place on Earth, or surf. I'm trying to have positive thoughts about the whole thing.

2. Even though I haven't worked at the Republic in a year and a half, I still stop in periodically to say hi. This time I was able to see Annette and Lori. We caught up on life and all the juicy work gossip. Love these gals and miss seeing them every day!

3.  The Kieta's bought a Groupon to stay at the Arizona Grand Resort which came with passes to their water park. They were nice enough to invite us over for a little swim on Sunday afternoon and we gladly accepted. With the park closing within the hour, we decided to try and sneak in. I know...not very honest especially on a Sunday. I was nervous about the whole thing, but we were able to walk right through the entrance with no problems. We sailed around the lazy river, bopped around in the wave pool, and raced down these scary slides. I went down the one on the right and screamed the whole way down. A huge wedgie awaited me at the bottom.

4. We often relax upstairs in our room because laying in our bed is more comfortable than laying downstairs on the couch. When Zander lays down, he always seems to have some sort of body part - hand, feet, head - touching us. He loves to snuggle! This time, he wanted his feet on Devin and daddy wasn't having any part of it. Devin kept moving Zander's feet away and Zander kept putting his feet right back on Devin. He is such a tease and ended up calling Devin a "baby". It was hilarious!

5. On Sunday, I was able to get my visiting teaching done for the month. While at times it seems like there is never enough time to get it done, it always feels so good to be able to visit with these sisters each month.
